I saw that the max temperature for the Ti is 85 degrees Celsius, which is lower then the Ti at 95 degrees Celsius. I ended up buying the Flud for pc Black Edition non-a chip and it gets up to 80 degrees when playing graphic intensive games like Metro Exodus or Anthem Free game bundle was great btw!
Staying around 5 degrees from max temperature makes me feel uncomfortable. I can change the fan curve but is it okay to run it like this stock? The Crunchinator. Keep in mind that you will want to keep the card clean if it's running at 85C.
As Sajin said you want to keep it under 89C which it is now but if dust builds up it could easily go above.

Hi all, what are the "safe" temps for RTX ? The temps I can play normally with, that won't damage my GPU after long, long in-game hours. I think, as the transistors shrink, the safe temps vary, but I may be wrong. This is another reason to learn the safe temps. Feb 9, 2, 63 4, You want it ideally to be running under 70c, but as long as it's under 85c you probably won't have issues. The card won't have a hard time keeping itself cool as long as you have decent ventilation in whichever enclosure you end up going with.
You are also able to set a custom fan curve to keep it in a certain range if you choose to do so. Aug 13, 5, 21 20, 1, Normally, staying below 80C was recommended for long-term, safe operating temp. This ringing effect sees the initial burst followed by a drop to low fan speeds, followed by another, smaller burst, and so on until the curve settles on a gradual ascent.
There is no pulse start-up as FurMark quickly warms up the TU processor. When a graphics card is constrained by its power target, voltage and frequency are dialed back to keep power in check, so performance is the variable that suffers most.
By the end of our recording, the card in a closed case has its fans spinning RPM faster than the same system with its side panel popped off. TU heats up to 75 degrees Celsius compared to 71 degrees with the case side open. But this does help illustrate the exception we take with axial coolers. We really miss robust blower-style coolers this generation. Current page: Temperatures and Fan Speeds.
Home Reviews. Editor's Choice. See all comments The price stated of vega 56 and 64 are there to make the price of the ti less wow but the real price of vega 56 is euro and the vega 64 euro. I would think Nvidia would have learned a lesson on overly pricing cards with gimmicky tags Over the last 15 years what range of cards have sold the most and which one gets released last in line? Splatting a big RTX label and charging a premium on a GPU when software is still 12 months behind was just stupid and we can add it to the many other gimmicks Nvidia has come up with over the years that failed to draw sales " PhysX, Early stages of VR, Hairworks, and now RTX" These cards are indeed nice but adding that extra premium just for "RTX" is just bad marketing.
How can a card with such a bad value proposition could score that high? It is insane, that you guys, are now accepting Nvidia price gouging behavior as something normal This card offer the worst value ever. Clearly this is about the ad bucks, not sure how your reviewers can look themselves in the mirror anymore. Any1 with a ti or above is absolutely fine at p resolution.
My card scores about 60 fps in the last tomb raider and 52 in AC Oddysey benchmark. In game with dips to just unde Coupled with a high refresh g sync monitor I don't even notice low framerate. I'll say pass to shitty rtx.

I cannot believe how people could pay for a gimmick like rays. Gimmick that you will find in 0. It's like getting the gold frame. I would have preferred they invested in better more advanced phisics and market that.Forums New posts Search forums. New posts New posts New profile posts Latest activity. My card also had plastic shrouding that ran deep into the GPU itself which could not be removed, I thought that was odd but have no idea if it is normal for this card. Does anyone else here have this exact same card, what temps are you guys getting with it? Is mine normal or could there be faults to it.
Joined May 18, Messages 49, Well that video was for a RTX not a Ti and it didn't show me anything related to temps under stress.One-click overclocking has been around for a while, but this time Nvidia has built a framework for doing it rather than letting board partners create their own algorithms, which the chip maker says is better tuned for their GPUs, more accurate, and more reliable. Had a few crash issues with the early version of Precision X1 which we assume will get fixed, whereas Afterburner seemed to work every time.
Simply click on the bar graph icon, then click OC Scanner, and then in that window hit 'Scan'. Now you can sit back and wait a while because the one-click overclock process takes around 15 to 20 minutes. What the Scanner is doing is basically running a bunch of clock speed tests at a range of voltages to find the exact voltage-frequency curve for your graphics card.
It has its own test algorithm built-in to stress the GPU with the ability to recover from any hangs or crashes if the GPU is being pushed a bit too hard. Nvidia says the Scanner only modifies the core clock, so if you change the power and temperature limits before hand, the Scanner might find different and potentially higher core clocks.
Core overclocking is much more important for getting performance gains, but a boost to memory can help out in some situations. No big deal. In other words, Nvidia does not expose proper voltage controls to the user like you might get with overclocking a CPU on a motherboard. And that comes at the expense of lifespan: Nvidia claims you should get 5 years out of stock voltage and just 1 year with the voltage limit raised slightly, so keep that in mind.
Plus, of course, with manual overclocking we increased the memory frequency as well. This indicates manual overclocking remains the way to go for many, and you can see that is the case when looking at our Shadow of the Tomb Raider results next If you enjoy our content, please consider subscribing User Comments: 8 Got something to say?

Clock rate losses aren't nearly as dramatic as the previous generation. And a cooler-running processor means GPU Boost rates could probably be quite a bit higher without an issue. This gives the tuning software a chance to increase voltage and try the same frequency again.
This worked quite well for us in practice, though our results did land below what we achieved after an hour of manually tweaking. If you'd rather save time and allow this one-click approach handle overclocking, we wouldn't dissuade you; the technology does what Nvidia says it's supposed to do.
Unfortunately, we believe that lackluster result is due to a low-quality GPU, not a fault with the Scanner package. In a closed case, it reached MHz.
The following charts illustrate our findings over 15 minutes of warm-up time. Pay particular attention to the GPU temperature ramp on an open test bench and in a closed case.
Despite the roughly eight-degree delta between both configurations, clock rates hardly change between them. Next, we have high-resolution infrared pictures taken during our gaming loop and stress on the open bench and inside of a closed case. Large thermal deltas are apparent from both examples.
However, neither workload is able to expose a problem with cooling under the GPU package. Current page: Temperatures And Clock Rates. Home Reviews. Editor's Choice. Temperatures And Clock Rates While we don't like that Nvidia's new thermal solution kicks waste heat back into your chassis, it's clearly a superior performer.
Moreover, frequency differences between the open test setup and a closed case are non-existent. Image 1 of 2. Image 2 of 2. See all comments Waste of time to write a review. Keyword greatest. If you desire 4K gaming and have the funds available, why wouldn't you? Quit benchmarking Battlefield with DX12, it is unplayable. I'm probably going to buy one Though it's not my faultLast, but not least of course, is our look at power, temperatures, and noise levels.
While a high performing card is good in its own right, an excellent card can deliver great performance while also keeping power consumption and the resulting noise levels in check. At its highest clockspeeds the card runs at 1.This much GPU power is just insane... RTX 2080Ti FTW 3
The 0. Looking at clockspeeds, we can piece together a couple of interesting pieces of information. What is more surprising however are the average clockspeeds we recorded for the RTX Super. In short, the card spends a lot of time at or near its top turbo bins. With temperature compensation active, our RTX Super tops out at MHz; a clockspeed that it holds at for over half of our games even at 4K. It is worth noting, however, that often the card was clockspeed-limited rather than power limited.
