I've been locked out of my account, twice, in the past 48 hours. When I've gone to sign in via my desktop I've received a warning, informing my account's been locked for my own safety and to ring Sky on a number ending in Yesterday it was all automated, I confirmed some security details, this unlocked the account and then I had to reset the password. The exact same thing happened this morning only this time the automated system wasn't enough and I actually spoke to a person but, they couldn't confirm why it this is happening.
I'm not clever enough to create new passwords daily, is anyone from Sky aware of anything that could be affecting me and my account please.

I put it down to the VPN I was using. That is likely the cuplrit as I too use a VPN. Changing it to a 'sticky' IP address that doesn't alter frequently seems to have solved it. More from Sky. Sign In.

Make sure the password is not saved in the RDP profile. Check services if any services has account used, also task scheduler any task running using the account. Also, you can run LockoutStatus. I switched to logging on with my Microsoft credentials and the host system allowed the connection.

Windows 10 RDC connection issues
Server Fault is a question and answer site for system and network administrators. It only takes a minute to sign up. However a user not in those policies was able to login successfully. Intentional wrong passwords were tried for that user confirming it could be locked out on the domain, which is the exact issue we're facing occasionally.

That's the entire point of having an account lockout policy. Then why does that 'Remote Access Account Lockout' allow you to set a different threshold AD lockout could be set to 5, whilst the remote lockout could be set to 3?
It's two different concepts we're trying handle: local AD authentication, remote access utilizing AD authentication. I'm not sure I understand the question then. I don't want RDWeb to allow every domain user to login as I have one user with a simple username who consistently gets locked out because of random people on internet trying to login.
